Common questions

What does the Barndo Builder Concierge actually do?
You fill out one form about your project. We review it, pick the builders or kit suppliers in your area whose work lines up with it, and contact them ourselves. When a company says they want the job, we introduce you. That is the whole service.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no fee to you. We may offer paid services to builders in the future, but that will never change who we contact for your project or what we tell you.
Will I get a flood of calls from builders?
No. That is the problem we built this to avoid. Your contact information stays with us while we do the outreach. Builders only get your details after they have said they want the work and you have agreed to the introduction.
What if no builder is a fit?
We tell you. Some markets are thin, some budgets and timelines are hard to place, and some projects are better served by a kit supplier plus a local GC. An honest no is more useful than a forced introduction.
Which builders do you contact?
We start from our own research: 1,490 builders across 50 states whose websites show real barndominium signal. Then we narrow by your state, scope, budget, and build approach before we reach out.
I want a kit and plan to be my own GC. Can you still help?
Yes. Pick that option on the form. Instead of general contractors, we focus the outreach on kit and shell suppliers who serve your area and are set up to work with owner-builders.
How long does it take?
We usually start outreach within a few business days. Builders take anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks to respond, especially in busy seasons. We will keep you posted either way.
